We have also developed  expertise in managing township centres near major metropolitan areas which allows the fund to take advantage of the enormous potential in these underserviced areas.

The fund’s mandate is to invest in strategically located community and convenience shopping centres as their associated income streams offer stability and are resilient in times of economic downturns. Each asset is critically evaluated to ensure that it enjoys a superior location and appeals to its catchment area. The critical factors are evaluated in ensuring that the asset delivers high quality and stable growth.

The properties have been held by the fund for a considerable time and as such the team has an intimate knowledge and understanding of the properties. This enables the fund to extract optimal performance from the assets while limiting downside risk.

The Cubisol team is highly experienced, individually as well as a collective organisation and this has allowed for a seamless and strategically focused asset management approach to retail optimisation. This is demonstrated by Cubisol's consistent outperformance in relation to the MSCI benchmark. Over a longer three- and seven-year period, Cubisol has ranked as the number one property fund in the MSCI sample.
The management team has over 75 years of collective property expertise. The team is made up of individuals who are highly competent in their fields which enables the fund to fulfil its mandate of extracting sustainable high-quality stable earnings for shareholders.

Andre has assumed senior management positions in a number of property companies over the last fifteen years.

Serving as the Strategic Executive at Pangbourne from 2004 till the end of 2005, Andre was responsible for the growth and direction of this listed company. During this time Pangbourne purchased over R 1 billion of assets and implemented the first commercial mortgage backed securitisation in South Africa. With Pangbourne’s support Andre listed a retail fund, Siyathenga which was formed in late 2005, whose assets grew from R 570 million to R 2.25 billion during his tenure as CEO.

He joined Cubisol as the CEO in 2010 and has overseen the growth of the company from an asset base of R 50 million to its current level of over R 4 billion.
B.Comm (Hons) Investment Management, B. Accounting, CA (SA)

Gerald has developed strong financial and entrepreneurial skills during his working career and has used these to establish and build credit and property related businesses. He cut his teeth at RMB trading derivatives. He then served as the treasurer of PSG Investment Bank in South Africa. This was followed by the role of Treasurer HSBC Sub-Saharan Africa where he set up a fully fledged treasury division from scratch. He also served as a member of their EXCO, MANCO and ALCO committees.

Creditsmith Capital Partners was established by Gerald in 2006. This fund focuses on providing structured finance into property based projects. Gerald also founded Propertysmith in 2007 and continues to serve as the CEO of Creditsmith.
B.Sc (Hons) Property Studies

Chris possesses a wealth of property experience which is applied to ensure optimal performance from the Cubisol assets. His knowledge has been developed from the ground up starting from his graduation from UCT with a BSc (Hons) in Property Studies followed by his experience of serving as the Regional Manager of Spire Property Manager in KwaZulu Natal. He joined the fund in 2016 and heads up the operational function of the fund.
B.Comm (Hons) (Accounting), CA (SA)

Prishani is a Chartered Account and completed her articles at Deloitte in 2014. She then worked at Vantage Capital Group and Absa as a Financial/Fund Accountant and Financial Review Manager respectively where she gained invaluable knowledge in the financial services industry. She joined the fund in 2018 and heads up the financial department.
B.Sc (Hons) Mathematical Science and Statistics, City University London

Priya served as the Head of Service Delivery at IPD and MSCI until the end of 2016. During this time she was intricately involved in the establishment of this business as the leader in the provision of data analytics to the South African Property Sector. She joined Cubisol in 2017 and has used her impeccable analytical background to take responsibility for the data analytics of the fund.
B.Sc (Hons) Property Studies

Oliver graduated from The University of Cape Town with a B.Sc (Hons) Property Studies in 2017. He then applied his knowledge and developed his skills as an Investment Analyst at Noble Property Fund, with Cubisol as one of his clients. He joined Cubisol in 2020 as an Asset Manager.
